Realtime personalized searching launched on Jan 10, 2012 on Google’s “search personalization” queries. Although it is nothing new, it just mysteriously disappeared back in early July 2011. I am pleased to see that twitter has quite the upper hand with this one, assuming one believes Google’s statement as to Twitter being the #1 content provider through its crawlers. I wouldn’t do a deal with the devil either. Glad Twitter didn’t make a deal with the devil… The pro’s of expiration dates within business deals!
To suggest what one’s brain is searching for sounds like “big brother” style government control to me. I am not the only one who thinks this by far. We don’t need predictions to determine the outcome of any aspect of our life. That is degrading and assumes we the people cannot think for ourselves? If we wanted to live in a bubble of a world that consisted of answer’s we already know or feedback from our linked connections by services online, one can only assume the outcome is a 1 sided view and a selfish one at that.
Communism dictates what school children learn and communicate. Is that the ultimate direction this will lead if Google is the only choice as a search engine as it continues to monopolize every aspect of our lives? This is offensive to the worst degree and anyone who claims they are in support of “ANTI” SOPA and it’s effects, yet agree and continue to support Google are hypocrites! Google’s search denies one the ability to be innovative and learn new technology, topics of choice, or the history of anything world wide? This is not what the intent of the world wide web was established for!
